Moving History in Columbus

Here’s a challenging moving project that some lucky moving company in Columbus Ohio may be faced with soon.

The Ohio History Connection is reportedly thinking about moving its museum from its current location off the beaten track to a place that is highly visible and central to Downtown Columbus, possibly along the waterfront.

We would like to remind the company and the Columbus Downtown Development Development Corp. to be very careful when contracting with a Columbus area moving company. This is, after all, not just any domestic move, or even an ordinary business relocation.

Those things are absolutely important to us, as they should be to any decent movers in Columbus, Ohio. But relocating a museum requires very special expertise in handling antiques, art, and items that are at once large, heavy, and fragile. In short, it is the sort of thing that ought to call for a flawless track record from the company that is contracted to do it.

We don’t want to toot our own horns, but we’ll put ourselves up against any other Columbus moving company if this job ends up moving forward. We have the flawless record it requires. And more than that, we love Columbus, Ohio and would be thrilled to be part of the project that physically moves the area’s history.
